Since its inception SMWCDO has been involved in Child Protection program within Somali region of Puntland State Somalia.

The program included documentation of incidences of violations against children especially the Six Major Violations outlined in the UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1523.

SMWCDO is also involved in the protection of vulnerable women against sexual exploitation and acts of VAW. The organisation supports survivors of such incidences by providing psycho-social and medical support.
